We have seven child care centers and have a staff of nearly 100 dedicated child care professionals. We have something to offer the most seasoned and experienced educators as well as the novice. There are a variety of positions available to qualified - prospective applicants. Check our current postings above for open positions.
Rockville Day Care offers all employees - whether full time or part time - annual/vacation leave, sick leave, and a FREE day off for the employee’s Birthday (after first year of employment). New employees earn up to 10 days of annual and 10 days of sick leave per year. After two years of employment additional days of annual leave are accrued, based on longevity, up to a maximum of 20 days per year. After four years of employment, staff are also awarded two additional personal days per calendar year.
Rockville Day Care offers full time employees (those working 20 hours or more per week, the opportunity to participate in a 401(k) plan. Employees may choose to allocate between 1% - 4% of their gross salary per pay period to the 401(k) plan to which RDCA will match 33% of the allocated amount.
Rockville Day Care offers full time employees who work 40 hours per week the opportunity to enroll in our Health Insurance Plan. We currently offer Kaiser Permanente as our health insurance carrier. RDCA contributes 70% toward the traditional HMO plan for individual subscribers and 100% for the HDHP plan. Staff plus one, and staff with family, will receive a 50% contribution toward health insurance.
We also offer supplemental insurance plans through AFLAC which are self supporting.
Rockville Day Care has established a "Pre-tax" benefit which allows staff to deduct their 401(k), health insurance and AFLAC (supplemental insurance)from their gross salaries before taxes are computed. This has provided many of our staff a substantial savings.
Rockville Day Care offers staff members with children enrolled in one of our programs a 30% discount on their child care tuition.
Rockville Day Care does not believe in the practice of establishing staff hours based on daily/hourly attendance patterns. Our staff are hired for regular, pre-established hours and will be paid for their scheduled hours.
Staff will receive a salary increase on their employment anniversary date. RDCA has budgeted for a 2% salary increase in 2012.
The Board also established a “Referral Bonus” in the amount of $100.00 given to current staff who refer someone to the Association. This bonus is given in two parts - $ 25.00 upon the new employees start date and the $75.00 balance is given after the new employee completes 3 months of employment.
